Chetwynd Biolog Recovery

Project Number: #FR0001448

This project involved the utilization of residual waste fibre which was sold to the Canfor Energy North Pellet plant in Chetwynd, B.C. This project helped to avoid pile burning emissions and improved fibre utilization from existing cutting permits outside the current economic reach for low grade fibre. The avoidance of pile burning resulted in fewer greenhouse gas emissions and contributed to the achievement of B.C.'s and Canada's climate change targets. Duz Cho Logging Limited is wholly owned by the McLeod Lake Indian Band.
