This project involved the utilization of residual waste fibre by the BC EcoChips facility for distribution to other secondary fibre users in the Southern Interior. This project helped to avoid pile burning emissions and improved fibre utilization from eligible Timber Sale Licenses outside the current economic reach. The avoidance of pile burning resulted in fewer greenhouse gas emissions and contributed to the achievement of B.C.'s and Canada's climate change targets.
