Planning, harvesting and planting in high burn intensity
interior Douglas-fir stands hit during the 2017 wildfires. Planning includes small areas of bark beetle management using anti-aggregation pheromones, and a feasibility study for biomass transport to bioenergy
facilities. The project also involves overstory removal of danger trees, site preparation, sowing of seedlings and planting. The local First Nation communities will be planting several million seedlings over the next few years.
