Wildfire Mitigation – Bark Beetle

This funding supported a joint FLNRORD and local community project to helicopter salvage harvest beetle-killed Douglas-fir trees on inaccessible steep slopes. The project was adjacent to the city of Williams Lake and was expected to reduce community wildfire risk and assist in controlling a bark beetle outbreak.
