Kalesnikoff Utilization/Incremental Haul of Residual Fibre

Project Number: #FC0000570

This project supported the utilization of fibre that would otherwise be burned in the forest by supporting the recovery and transportation of the uneconomic fibre. The project also reduced costs associated with potential wildfire mitigation work by removing logging debris from cut blocks as more non-merchantable biomass was removed to a secondary manufacturing site. This resulted in an overall increase in fibre recovery and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions created from burning residual fibre.
