Comstock Long-term Fire Break

This project was for fuel management prescription development and fuel reduction treatments south of Merritt, B.C. A portion of the residual waste fibre resulting from the treatments was utilized by a local bio-energy plant. The avoidance of pile burning reduces greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to the achievement of B.C.'s and Canada's climate change targets.
