This is an interface treatment project located adjacent to the community of Baynes Lake. The goal is to reduce fuel loading near the community using mastication equipment and hand slashing. This will be followed by a prescribed burn and an invasive plant treatment in the spring or fall of 2021. This significant project will tie into neighbouring ecosystem restoration treatments and contribute to a landscape-level fuel break while providing
open forest and range ecosystem benefits.
