The Forest Enhancement Society of BC (FESBC) will be having its fifth intake for project proposals starting on October 1st, 2018. The October intake will be comprised of two calls for project submissions through the Forest Enhancement Society Information Management System (FESIMS). The FESIMS portal will remain accessible for proposal input until November 30th, 2018. Proposals submitted in hard copy or via email will no longer be accepted.
For this intake, the priorities for proposal submissions are as follows:
Intake 5A – Carbon Emissions Reduction – Fibre Utilization
Intake 5B – Wildfire Risk Reduction and Other
All proposals must be consistent with Forest, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (FLNRORD) Integrated Investment Plan Priorities.
A revised FESBC Application Guide is available on the FESBC website.
In addition, FESBC and the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation (HCTF) have entered into a co-funding agreement where proposed projects primarily focused on improving wildlife habitat are submitted to HCTF’s Restoration and Enhancement Grants application process. Habitat-leading proposals must be submitted using the HCTF online application system (HCTF Online) by their November 2nd, 2018 deadline. Projects must meet HCTF criteria and priorities and will be considered as part of HCTF’s regular intake cycle, in competition with other Restoration and Enhancement proposals.
