Forest Enhancement Society of BC Welcomes New Operations Manager

The Forest Enhancement Society of BC (FESBC) is pleased to welcome its newest Operations Manager to their team: Ray Raatz.

Ray has over 30 years’ experience working for the provincial government at the district level on both the coast and the interior. He has held a variety of positions during his career including District Silviculture Planner, Small Business Planning Forester, and Tenures Officer. For the past 17 years he has served as the operations/resource manager in the 100 Mile House Natural Resource District and has been responsible for all district program areas at some point during that period. Ray has broad forest management knowledge and experience that will complement the existing Operations Managers’ skillsets. He is a Registered Professional Forester with a Diploma in Advanced Silviculture from the University of BC, a degree in Forestry from the University of Alberta, and both Forestry and Fish & Wildlife Diplomas from the BC Institute of Technology.

Commencing his role in April 2018 on secondment from the provincial government, Ray joins Operations Managers Dave Conly and Gord Pratt as well as Kathy Dupuis, Office Manager and Steve Kozuki, Executive Director. Welcome, Ray!
