Forest Enhancement Society of BC Appoints a New Board Member

The Forest Enhancement Society of BC (FESBC) is pleased to announce its newest Board Member, Keith Atkinson. Keith was welcomed at a Board of Directors meeting in October 2017 and will take on a ‘member at large’ role.

Keith Atkinson grew up and continues to live and work in BC. He is a member of the Snuneymuxw First Nation, currently living in North Vancouver. Upon graduating from UBC Faculty of Forestry in 1994 his career developed through work as a consulting forester, a treaty forester and his current role as the CEO of the First Nations Forestry Council. The Forestry Council is a non-profit society that provides support to all First Nations communities in BC. These experiences have developed, and continue to develop Keith as a forester who seeks a restored and strengthened balance to achieve social and environmental benefits from well managed forest lands.

The FESBC Board and staff look forward to working with Keith to advance environmental and resource stewardship of BC’s forests in the coming years.
