Forest Enhancement Society of BC Announces Next Proposal Intakes

The Forest Enhancement Society of BC (FESBC) is currently transitioning to a BC government Crown Agency and, as a result, the proposed September intake for project proposals has been delayed until November 6th, 2017. The November intake will utilize a new online system for project submissions: Forest Enhancement Society Information Management System (FESIMS). Once open, the FESIMS portal will remain accessible for proposal input until November 24th, 2017. Proposals submitted in hard copy or via email will no longer be accepted.

In addition, FESBC and the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation (HCTF) have entered into a co-funding agreement where proposed projects primarily focused on improving wildlife habitat are submitted to HCTF’s Restoration and Enhancement Grants application process. Habitat-leading proposals must be submitted using HCTF online application system (HCTF Online) by their November 2nd, 2017 deadline. Projects must meet HCTF criteria and priorities, and will be considered as part of HCTF’s regular intake cycle, in competition with other Restoration and Enhancement proposals. HCTF OnLine will open in September - check their website for updates.

A revised FESBC Application Guide that will reflect changes associated with the transition to a Crown Agency will be available in early October 2017.
